On the evening of August 31st, 2024, Greenwood Sanctuary came alive with music, laughter, and the incredible energy of a community coming together for a shared cause. Hosting this event was a dream come true—not just as a celebration of our mission but as a reminder of the love and compassion that keeps Greenwood thriving.
The night began with a breathtaking performance by the talented Abi Foster, whose voice captivated us all and set the tone for the evening. As the sun began to set over the sanctuary, the stage was lit up once again by none other than our incredible patrons, Mobius Loop. Their soulful, spirited music had everyone on their feet, singing and dancing under the stars. Their message of unity and compassion resonated deeply, reminding us why we do what we do.
Of course, no event is complete without amazing food, and Huns, Leicester didn’t disappoint. Their chick-hun vegan burgers and crispy chips were a massive hit, fueling the crowd as we celebrated together. Seeing everyone enjoy delicious, plant-based food was such a joy—it’s proof that compassion can be both meaningful and delicious!
What truly made the evening special, though, was the overwhelming support for our animals; we raised vital funds to support the sanctuary. These donations will go directly toward feeding, caring for, and providing safe shelter for our beloved residents.
I want to thank each and every one of you who attended, performed, served, or supported this event. Your energy, kindness, and contributions are what allow Greenwood Sanctuary to continue its mission of giving animals a second chance at life.
